Using SPLENDA® Sucralose
A key to the versatility of SPLENDA® Sucralose is its ability to seamlessly integrate with other high intensity sweeteners as well as nutritive sweeteners, creating lower calorie or lower cost products for you and your consumers!

Formulating Tips

The following table provides some guideline use levels in various food products and demonstrates how the potency of sucralose can vary depending on the sweetness level and application.

SPLENDA® Sucralose can be used to replace the sweetness provided by nutritive and non-nutritive sweeteners in virtually all food products. However, due to its intense sweetness only very low levels are required and, therefore, sucralose does not give the bulk or textural characteristics that sugar provides in products such as confectionery, baked products or ice cream.

In these cases, sucralose can be used in combination with bulking agents such as STA LITE polydextrose or polyols. The choice of which bulking agent to use depends on the specific application but SPLENDA® Sucralose has been shown to work well in combination with all of them.

The sweetness provided by the bulking agent will also need to be taken into consideration when calculating how much sucralose to use.
